Terms of Use
Effective July 22, 2026 · Last updated July 22, 2026
These Terms are a binding contract between you and NeuroMD. They cover the Recovery Coach, this website, and any subscription you buy from us. Please read Section 4 (health), Section 9 (auto-renewal), and Section 21 (arbitration) closely — they affect your legal rights.
Health notice — read this first
The NeuroMD Recovery Coach is a wellness and education service. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it does not give medical advice. Donna is artificial intelligence, not a physician, physical therapist, nurse, or any other licensed healthcare professional. Using the service does not create a doctor–patient or therapist–patient relationship.
If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number now. Do not use the Recovery Coach to report an emergency. Never delay seeking care, and never disregard advice from your own clinician, because of something the Recovery Coach said.
Talk to your doctor before starting. Electrical stimulation devices are not safe for everyone — including people with a pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, or other implanted electronic device; people who are pregnant; people with epilepsy or a seizure disorder; people with cancer, active infection, or deep vein thrombosis; and people with undiagnosed pain. Follow the instructions and warnings that came with your NeuroMD device.
Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the NeuroMD Recovery Coach, the voice sessions with "Donna," this website and any NeuroMD subscription, page, or feature that links to these Terms (together, the "Service").
By using the Service, creating an account, starting a voice session, or buying a subscription, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you are agreeing on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and "you" means that organization.
Who we are
The Service is operated by NeuroMD Medical Technologies LLC ("NeuroMD," "we," "us," or "our").

Who may use the service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for users in the United States. We make no representation that it is appropriate or available anywhere else, and you are responsible for complying with local law if you access it from elsewhere.
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us and we will delete the information.
Do not use the Service on behalf of another person, and do not let another person use your subscription.
Health, safety, and what this service is not
This section restates the notice at the top of this page because it is the most important thing here.
Not medical advice
The Service provides general wellness, movement, and educational guidance for use alongside a NeuroMD device you already own. It is not medical care. Nothing the Recovery Coach says is a diagnosis, a treatment plan, a prescription, a prognosis, or a substitute for evaluation by a licensed clinician who can physically examine you.
No professional relationship
Using the Service does not create a doctor–patient, therapist–patient, or any other professional relationship between you and NeuroMD or anyone acting for us. We are not practicing medicine, physical therapy, chiropractic, nursing, psychology, or any other licensed profession.
Emergencies
Call 911 or go to an emergency room if you have chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, a fall or injury, severe or rapidly worsening pain, or any other urgent symptom. The Service is not monitored in real time by a human, cannot summon help, and must never be relied on in an emergency.
Talk to your clinician first
Consult your physician before beginning any new exercise, stretching, movement, or stimulation routine, especially if you are pregnant, have an implanted electronic device, have a heart condition, epilepsy, cancer, diabetes, neuropathy, osteoporosis, a recent injury or surgery, or any undiagnosed pain. Stop immediately and seek care if anything causes pain, dizziness, numbness, shortness of breath, or discomfort.
Not FDA-evaluated
The Recovery Coach is not a medical device and has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Statements about the Service have not been evaluated by the FDA. The Service is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Any FDA clearance that applies to a NeuroMD hardware device applies to that device only, on the terms in its own labeling — not to the Recovery Coach.
You decide
You are solely responsible for deciding whether to act on anything the Service tells you, and for how you use your device. When in doubt, ask your clinician instead.
The Recovery Coach is AI
"Donna" is an automated conversational system built on third-party speech recognition, language models, and synthetic speech. She is not a human being, is not supervised live by a human, and is not a licensed professional of any kind. We disclose this plainly and you acknowledge it every time you use the Service.
AI output can be wrong. Language models can produce information that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or entirely fabricated, and speech recognition can mishear what you say — including numbers, symptoms, medication names, and body parts. Output is generated automatically and is not reviewed by a clinician before you hear it. Do not rely on it as your sole source of information, and verify anything that matters with a qualified professional.
The Service may be unavailable, may misunderstand you, may end a session unexpectedly, and may change as we improve it. We do not promise any particular answer, tone, memory of past sessions, or outcome.
Your NeuroMD device
The Recovery Coach is designed to be used with a NeuroMD hardware device. The device is a separate product sold under its own terms, warranty, labeling, and return policy, and buying a Recovery Coach subscription does not include a device, extend any device warranty, or change any device terms.
Always follow the instructions, contraindications, and warnings supplied with your device. If guidance from the Recovery Coach ever conflicts with your device's labeling or your clinician's instructions, follow the labeling and your clinician — not the Coach.
Voice sessions, your microphone, and transcripts
Voice sessions require access to your device's microphone, which you grant through your browser. You can revoke it at any time in your browser settings; the Service will not work without it.
What happens to your voice
During a session, audio from your microphone is streamed to our vendors and converted to text in real time so the Coach can respond. We do not save a recording of your voice. We do keep the text transcript of the session and the details you give the Coach — such as your first name, where it hurts, a pain rating, how long you have had it, and what you want to get back to — so the Service can personalize your plan. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly who processes this and for how long.
Your consent, and other people in the room
By starting a session, you consent to this real-time processing and to our retention of the transcript. Some states require every participant to consent before a conversation is captured. You are responsible for not having others speak into the microphone unless they also consent, and for not using the Service on a call or in a setting where capturing the conversation would be unlawful.
Don't share what you don't need to
Tell the Coach only what is needed for movement and comfort guidance. Do not share payment card numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers, or the sensitive information of other people.
Your account and information
You agree to give accurate, current information and to keep it up to date, and you are responsible for everything that happens under your account or on your device. Keep your credentials and access secure, and tell us promptly at Help@GetNeuroMD.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
Information you give the Coach may be stored in your browser on the device you used, so that your plan is there when you return. Clearing your browser storage clears it.
Subscriptions, billing, and automatic renewal
How pricing works
Recovery Coach plans are offered at a discounted introductory price for your first billing period, and then renew at the standard price for that plan. The exact amounts, the renewal amount, and the renewal interval are shown on the checkout page before you pay, and are confirmed in your order email. As of the effective date above, the standard plans are:
| Plan | Introductory price | Then renews at | Renewal interval |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1-month | $15.19 | $39.99 | Every month |
| 3-month | $25.99 | $69.99 | Every 3 months |
| 6-month | $49.99 | $129.99 | Every 6 months |
Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any applicable tax, which is added at checkout where required. The price and terms presented to you at checkout govern if they differ from this table.
Your authorization
By completing checkout you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for the introductory amount immediately, and for the renewal amount at the start of each renewal period, automatically, until you cancel. You authorize us to store a payment token so renewals can be processed, and to update your card details automatically through your card network's account-updater service if your card is reissued.
Failed payments
If a charge fails, we may retry it, and we may suspend or terminate your access until payment succeeds. You remain responsible for amounts owed.
Price changes
We may change subscription prices. We will give you notice by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to your renewals, and the change takes effect at your next renewal. If you do not want the new price, cancel before that renewal date.
Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Your use of checkout is also subject to Stripe's terms.
Cancellation and refunds
How to cancel
You may cancel at any time, for any reason. Email Help@GetNeuroMD.com from the address on your order, or use the cancellation link in any subscription email or in your account settings if available. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for; you keep access until then, and you are not charged again.
To make sure a renewal does not go through, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. We will confirm your cancellation in writing.
Refunds
If a specific offer page you purchased through states a money-back guarantee, that guarantee governs your purchase and we will honor it on its stated terms. Where no other guarantee applies:
- Your first payment on a new subscription is refundable in full if you ask within 30 days of that charge.
- Renewal payments are not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or where we agree in writing. Cancel before a renewal to avoid it.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method and typically post within 5–10 business days.
Refunds for a NeuroMD hardware device are governed by the return policy for that device, not by this section.
Nothing here limits any non-waivable right you have under the consumer laws of your state, including any right to cancel an automatic renewal.
Email and text messages
By giving us your email address or mobile number, or by using a link from an email or text we sent you, you agree we may contact you about your account, your sessions, and your subscription. These transactional messages are part of the Service.
Marketing messages require your consent and you can withdraw it at any time. Unsubscribe from email using the link in any marketing email. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Consent to marketing is never a condition of purchase.
Opting out of marketing does not stop essential messages about billing, security, or your subscription.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of these Terms;
- rely on the Service for emergency, diagnostic, or clinical decision-making, or present its output as medical advice to anyone;
- use the Service to provide services to third parties, or resell, sublicense, or share your access;
- copy, scrape, mirror, frame, or systematically collect content or output from the Service, including to train or fine-tune any machine-learning model;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, prompts, or model weights;
- probe, scan, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure, or circumvent any rate limit, security measure, or access control;
- use bots, scripts, or automated means to access the Service, or use another person's account or identity;
- upload malware, or transmit unlawful, infringing, harassing, or deceptive content;
- misrepresent your identity, your age, or your relationship to a NeuroMD device.
We may investigate and take any action we think appropriate, including suspending access and reporting conduct to law enforcement.
Your content and feedback
You keep ownership of what you say and submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the rights to grant this license.
If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions, we may use them freely, without obligation, compensation, or confidentiality.
If you give us permission to use a testimonial, review, or before-and-after description publicly, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to do so in our marketing, and you may withdraw it for future use by contacting us.
Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, text, audio, video, images, plans, prompts, protocols, design, and the NeuroMD and Recovery Coach names and logos, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial wellness use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. No trademark or brand-feature rights are granted.
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice with the information required by the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)) to Help@GetNeuroMD.com. We terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.
Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties — including voice, speech-recognition, language-model, payment, messaging, and analytics providers — and may contain links to or embeds from sites we do not control. We are not responsible for third-party services, their content, or their practices, and linking to something is not an endorsement. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that party's terms and privacy policy.
Third-party endorsements or clinician commentary shown on our pages reflect that person's own views. See Section 16.
Testimonials and results
Testimonials, reviews, ratings, case studies, and before-and-after descriptions on our pages reflect the individual experience of the people who gave them. They are not a promise, guarantee, or prediction that you will get the same result, and they are not clinical evidence.
Individual results vary widely and depend on your condition, your consistency, your clinician's guidance, and factors outside anyone's control. Some testimonials may be from people who received a free or discounted product, and any material connection is disclosed where required. Statistics we cite come from published research about the underlying modality and are not a claim about the Recovery Coach's own performance.
We do not promise that your pain will decrease, that your sleep will improve, or that you will reach any particular score, level, or timeline, including any figure shown in an illustrative plan, chart, or projection.
Assumption of risk and release
Physical movement, stretching, exercise, and electrical stimulation carry inherent risks, including muscle strain, aggravation of an existing condition, skin irritation, falls, and in rare cases serious injury. By using the Service you knowingly and voluntarily assume all such risks, whether or not they are foreseeable.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and discharge NeuroMD and our officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from any claim, demand, or cause of action arising out of or relating to your use of the Service or any NeuroMD device, including claims based on our ordinary negligence. This release does not apply to gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or any liability that cannot be released under applicable law.
If you are a California resident, you expressly waive California Civil Code § 1542, which reads: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party."
Disclaimer of warranties
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you. In that case, such warranties are limited to the minimum duration and scope permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
These limits apply even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose, and they reflect an agreed allocation of risk that is part of the basis of our bargain with you. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations on liability for personal injury caused by negligence, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NeuroMD and our officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, suppliers, and licensors from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, penalty, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: your use or misuse of the Service; Your Content; your violation of these Terms or of any law; your violation of anyone else's rights; the capture or processing of another person's voice or information through your session; or your use of any NeuroMD device.
We may assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification, at your expense, and you agree to cooperate. You will not settle any matter without our prior written consent.
Arbitration and class action waiver
Informal resolution first
Before starting an arbitration, you agree to email Help@GetNeuroMD.com with a written description of the dispute and the relief you want, and to give us 60 days to resolve it. We agree to do the same before making a claim against you. This step is a condition of starting arbitration, and the limitations period is tolled while it runs.
Agreement to arbitrate
If we cannot resolve it, you and NeuroMD agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Service, these Terms, or our relationship — including its formation, interpretation, breach, or termination, and including claims that arose before you accepted these Terms — will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court.
The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. Arbitration will be before a single arbitrator, and may be conducted by phone, video, or written submissions unless the arbitrator orders otherwise. Arbitration may take place in the county where you live, or remotely. The arbitrator may award any relief a court could award to you individually, and the award may be entered as a judgment in any court with jurisdiction.
Class action and jury waiver
Exceptions
Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property rights. Nothing here prevents you from reporting a concern to a government agency.
Your right to opt out
You may opt out of this arbitration section within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Email Help@GetNeuroMD.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out," and include your name, the email address on your account, and a statement that you are opting out. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms and will not affect your subscription.
If we materially change this section in the future, you may reject the change by notifying us within 30 days, and the previous version will continue to apply between us. This section survives termination.
Governing law and venue
These Terms and any dispute between us are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and without application of the U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
For any dispute not subject to arbitration under Section 21, you and NeuroMD consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Florida, and waive any objection to that forum. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection law in the state where you live.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time, and may cancel your subscription as described in Section 10.
We may suspend or terminate your access, in whole or in part, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or others, if your payment fails, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate without cause, we will refund the unused, prepaid portion of your current billing period.
Sections that by their nature should survive — including 4, 13 through 22, and 27 — survive termination.
Changes to the service and these Terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and give reasonable notice — for example by email or an in-product notice — before the change takes effect.
Changes are not retroactive. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and cancel your subscription. Material changes to pricing follow Section 9, and to arbitration follow Section 21.
Electronic communications and notices
You consent to receive contracts, disclosures, notices, and records from us electronically — by email or by posting on the Service — and you agree that this satisfies any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. You may withdraw this consent by contacting us, but doing so means we can no longer provide the Service.
Notices to you go to the email address on your account and are considered received when sent. Notices to us must go to Help@GetNeuroMD.com and, where a section requires it, to our mailing address in Section 2. It is your responsibility to keep your email address current.
Accessibility
We want the Service to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology, and we work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is ongoing work and some parts may not yet fully conform.
If you have trouble using any part of the Service, email Help@GetNeuroMD.com and tell us what you were trying to do. We will work with you to provide the information or complete the transaction through another reasonable means.
General terms
Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any terms presented at checkout are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service, and replace any prior agreement or understanding on that subject.
Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest stays in full force.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Force majeure. Neither party is liable for a delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including outages, network failures, third-party vendor failures, natural disasters, labor disputes, and government action.
No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms do not give rights to anyone other than you and us, except that our officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, suppliers, and licensors may enforce Sections 17 through 20.
Relationship. Nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship.
Headings. Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
Interpretation. These Terms will not be construed against the drafter.
